(Annual) (Ocimum basilicum) An dwarf version ideal for growing in pots on your patio. Plants are compact with medium sized green leaves, about 12” high. Deadheading basil regularly will ensure a continuous supply throughout the season- when deadheading save the flowers for flavouring oil or vinegar.
Basil likes warm weather and will die if it even thinks about frost, (actually 5 degrees C is about as low as it can stand) so take your pots indoors before the cool weather sets in. Keep it in a sunny window or under fluorescent lights to extend your season.
